16th Annual JRF Scholarship Award

This year's scholarship award was presented to Benicia resident, Amanda Radtke, during the VJO Annual Awards Banquet in Vallejo.

Amanda was an outstanding student-athlete at Benicia High School, ranking 3rd in her graduating class with a 4.0+ GPA, earning Principal's Scholar Honor Roll all 4 years and 2013 AP Scholar Award among her academic achievements. She swam Varsity all 4 years at Benicia and placed 6th or better in her strokes at the 2013 and 2014 SCAC League Championships. Amanda started swimming for the Vallejo Aquatic Club in 2008 distinguishing herself on the All-Academic Team, as Junior Team Captain, and by placing 3rd in the 200 Breaststroke at the 2013 Zone Three Short Course Championships. She is also a Girl Scout earning the organization's Gold Award in 2014. Amanda will begin her studies at the University of Oregon this fall in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management and a minor in History. She plans to swim for the university's swim club. |
