25th Annual JRF Scholarship Award (2023)

Pierce Burnett demonstrated his excellence in academics and competitive swimming with a 4.19 GPA in a heavy Advanced Placement course load and membership in numerous honors societies as well as service organizations. His swimming accomplishments include four years of competitive swimming on both the St. Patrick-St. Vincent high school and Crocket club teams, specializing in both sprint and distance freestyle events. When reflecting on the values and life lessons he learned through swimming, he wrote about learning to adapt his approach through different training techniques and maintaining his perseverance to achieve his goals both in the pool and in the classroom. Pierce will attend the University of California at Davis and study biomedical engineering. |
